The Dagala trek, also known as the “Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek”, starts in the village of Genikha in Thimphu (the capital city) and extends 43 kilometres to Chamgang.  While the Dagala trek is less well-known than the famed Druk Path, the trek has much more to offer with pristine lakes, hidden waterfalls and majestic views of the Himalayas (when weather permits).

While working as a lecturer in the Environmental Studies Department at the Royal Thimphu College in Thimphu, Bhutan, Jesse Montes executed the six day “Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek” and through his website he has shared these inspiring stills from the trek.
